A unique evening was held for one of our alumni clubs for hearing impaired adults.
The program, for hearing impaired women, many of whom have loved ones at the front, was planned to give encouragement and inspiration.
Every day brings further tragic news of soldiers losing their lives or suffering severe wounds. Everybody knows someone serving, or a family member of a soldier who is in danger every moment of the day.
The evening’s program was enjoyable and empowering. The women were also given the chance to make the blessing in “Separation of the Dough” said when baking the braided loaves, used for Sabbath and Jewish Holidays.
The programs were also given in sign language.
Our alumni clubs offer a wonderful range of social and cultural programs, opening the world to the hearing impaired in ways they never dreamed possible. Programs include, courses, lectures, trips, and other activities.
