Shmaya was established in 1981 by Mr. Moshe Epstein, OBM, principal of the H.I.D. School for deaf children in the United States.

The organization’s original mission focused on the needs of hearing impaired children in the center of Israel. Over the years, we have expanded to serve people with all kinds of disabilities all over the country.

Shmaya is not just another organization for people with disabilities… We are a family, helping one another, no matter how great the challenge.
