Shmaya was established in 1981 by Mr. Moshe Epstein OBM, principal of the H.I.D. School for deaf children for deaf children in the United States.
The organization was established to take care of the needs of hearing impaired children in the Center of Israel. Over the years, we have expanded to include people with all kinds of disabilities and at many new locations. Today we run 19 branches for people from all over the country.
Shmaya works with the hearing impaired and people with other disabilities, of all ages. Our goal is to grant them optimal; independence, quality of life and integration in society.
Shmaya runs a unique and all-encompassing program for people struggling with disabilities, providing a professional response to their needs in the areas of; education, welfare, culture, employment and health.
At Shmaya there is a close rapport and a relationship of trust between staff and patients.
Shmaya is not just another organization for people with disabilities…
It all sounds different.
